And what makes us so special…
Due to rapidly evolving expectations the complexity of the tasks to be accomplished by broadcast centres and outside broadcast facilities is growing all the time. However, during the last few years there has been a discernible shortfall between broadcast requirements and the operating concepts that exist to deliver them. One obvious symptom of this has been insufficient attention given to the development of intuitive graphical user interfaces.
At Merloxx our goal is to give greater emphasis to the creation of more responsive and powerful GUIs, as well as overall system performance. With our front-end framework we have focused on intuition, clarity and ease of use. The framework can also be used by manufacturers via the White Label concept. The result is that our framework is able to revolutionize the development of your operating software in terms of time and expense.
Our front-end framework, the Merloxx Remote Suite, is a software solution for the remote control of hardware and software products. The solution can be tailored to your needs as a manufacturer as well as to the individual needs of your customers. Templates, functionality, layout, handling and the entire appearance of the front-end are easily determined by you. In addition, you can save time and money with the White Label concept, which means that within a short period of time the software is ready for your purposes, and without incurring notable development costs.
In combination with the Merloxx server, there are more possibilities. The existing instances of the GUI and the servers view themselves automatically via mDNS (multicast) within a network and enable easy administration. All GUIs can be administered via web interface of the server, meaning it is possible to achieve an overview of all GUIs with corresponding configurations and templates. For larger installations, where multiple instances of the app occur, the server can also work as Ember+ Proxy. This relieves the devices because the apps communicate with them only via the server. Consequently, there is only one active connection per device or two active connections in a scenario where redundancy is accommodated.

Our team consists of highly experienced developers of overlapping control systems, supplemented with new talents specialising in innovative concepts and emerging technologies. Company principals Wilfried Luff and Marius Keuck have an especially distinguished track-record in the broadcast industry. As a co-founder of L-S-B Broadcast Technologies, Wilfried Luff has not only managed a successful company in the broadcast industry, but also developed the acclaimed VSM (Virtual Studio Manager) system. With 30 years of experience in the broadcast industry, he has a complete understanding of customers’ evolving requirements.
Marius Keuck worked for more than six years at L-S-B, including on the development of the VSM system, before he took the position of Head of Development at Merloxx. His team includes young software developers from various fields who have already developed a profound knowledge of the ways in which the broadcast industry is progressing. Thanks to their efforts innovative ideas continue to inform the development of our solutions – and that’s what makes Merloxx so unique.
